With a Telegram Passcode Lock, you can prevent unauthorized access to your chat messages. Once set, Telegram will request the passcode before granting access to your account. A Telegram Passcode Lock helps to keep prying eyes out.

A Passcode Lock lets you lock your Telegram messages with Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint, PIN, or pattern screen lock. If your device gets lost or stolen, you can rest assured that no one can access and use your account if they don’t have the code.

To set a password on Telegram, you first need to open the Telegram app. Then, click the ‘Settings’ icon in the top right corner. From there, go to ‘Privacy’ & Security’ and select ‘Password’. You’ll then be asked to enter a password that you want to use and confirm it. Enter the password carefully and save the settings. You will now be asked to enter the password each time you log into Telegram.

Your Passcode Lock is now enabled. You can also turn on an option to unlock your Android with a fingerprint, if your device is so enabled, and set it to auto-lock in five minutes, one hour, or five hours. You can change your passcode as well.

Telegram Is making sure you have a password. Having a strong and unique password for your Telegram account helps you keep your information safe from any unwelcome attempts at accessing your account. Here are some tips to make sure you have a secure password that will keep your utility safe from any possible intruders:
  • Make sure your password is not obvious. Avoid using details like your birthdate or your name.
  • Include some special characters in your password. This will make it harder to guess.
  • Make it long enough. You should aim for at least 8 characters.
  • Don’t forget to update your password regularly. A surefire way to keep it safe is to do every couple of months.
