Apple has released iOS 15.6.1, which fixes two security holes on your iPhone. One of the issues fixed with iOS 15.6.1 is related to vulnerability in the iPhone Kernel that is tracked as CVE-2022-32894. The other issue fixed is a flaw in WebKit, the browser engine that powers Safari. This issue is tracked as CVE-2022-32893.
- To install the update, go to “Settings” on your iPhone.
- Scroll down and Tap on “General”.
- Tap “Software Update” on top.
- Tap “Download and Install” to start the software download.
- Once downloaded, software install will start. Entire process takes a couple of minutes to complete.
- iPhone will restart during the process, and you will receive a notification to confirm the software update when you login again.
You can also enable the “Auto Update” to install the updates automatically when available.
