The Jomo Kenyatta statue in Nairobi, Kenya's capital, is depicted on the front of the 50 Kenyan Shilling note. Kenyatta served as the country's first president from 1964 to 1978.
The Kenyatta International Convention Center, the National Coat of Arms, and the designation with one of the Big Five Animals of Africa, the African buffalo, are all visible in the backdrop. A solar park that represents solar power, a geothermal power plant that represents geothermal energy, and a wind farm that represents wind energy are all depicted on the note's reverse side.
The design is completed by a peace dove and the denomination. The color of this note, which is from the 2019 series, is rose, with a multicolored underprint.
