 Khandoli Dam located in the Giridih district of Jharkhand, India. This dam is built across the Barakar River, a tributary of the Damodar River, and serves as a multipurpose project for the region.


The Khandoli Dam in Giridih was constructed in the 1950s for irrigation, hydroelectric power generation, and flood control. It has a height of 45 meters and a length of 1,021 meters, with a storage capacity of 67 million cubic meters. The dam provides irrigation facilities to around 25,000 hectares of land in the surrounding areas and generates 5 MW of hydroelectric power.
