The marbled cellar spider, Holocnemus pluchei, belongs to the Pholcidae family of spiders, also known as "cellar spiders" or "daddy long-legs." The North Pacific area of the United States, as well as some regions of North Africa, Europe, and the Mediterranean, are all home to this species.
It is regarded as a typical house spider and makes its nest in cellars, eaves, and attics. Although some members of the species reside in solitary webs, the majority migrate to new webs repeatedly over the course of their lives and join those that already exist.
