The only reason Jio become so popular so quickly in Indian market is just because the offers/plans they were claiming to provide was simply too good to be true from our current Indian telecom market perspective. Just by paying for a reasonable plan we can get unlimited local + STD calls, no roaming charges, low data rates and many more things. Really, to good to be true.

Pros:
What do you like about the service? This will help other users considering this service or plan to purchase.
- HD Calls: All calls made from Jio network is made by VoIP which is less prone to call drops and deliver crystal clear voice.
- LTE Only network: Since Jio works only on 4G and does not have 3G or 2G network, the device doesn’t need to switch between bands and hence resulting in less battery drain. Having 4G only network has another benifit that all their towers will provide the same network and they will require less towers to provide network coverage unlike other operators which have to provide 2G towers, 3G towers & 4G towers at every single place.
Cons:
What do you dislike about the service? This will help other users considering this service or plan to purchase.
Network Coverage: Jio promises to cover 90% of the region of India. Although it says it has already covered 70% of region and yet there are very less complaints reguarding the network covverage. This might not be a con though.
Call Failures: Jio has been blaming the incumbent operators about not providing adequate amount of Points of interconnection which results in millions of call faliures daily to the telecom giant Airtel & Vodafone. Although this is not the case with other operators as there are almost no call failures to the remaining operators.

Apart from the VOLTE support, most Indian smartphone users are still stuck with 3G phones. The Jio sims won't benefit them in any way.
