Why is eSports not still supported by the Philippine Government?

Is it already time for the Government of the Philippines to fund, support or at least acknowledge eSports and the Gamers' Community to its Country?

The only government that has supported e-sports is Russia (surprisingly). If first-world nations such at the US, Germany, UK and etc haven't supported e-sports despite the larger e-sports clubs present there (eg. Evil Genius) - then I doubt that supporting e-sports is the first priority of the Phillippine government.

They have more pressing things to focus on - like their failed war on drugs.
