Where are you from ? Because if you're not from Costa Rica, your telephone company will charge you roaming fees.

Yes you can use your phone if it is unlocked and support any network.And your network should be of costa rica otherwise you have to pay roaming charges.

Yes because smartphone have an atenna that can detect network from wherever you are.
