Is it possible that in a room signal strength at one point is good and at another point there is no connectivity in the same room.?

Theoretically anything that is wireless is open to interference, so yes, that means that it could be possible theres an electrical appliance causing some interference.

Yes, very much possible.  Signal strenght varies even in short distance with each other Especially if it is a shared connection and a lot of people is using it.  There might be strong signal near the window area but totally none on top of your bed.
