Do people earn money from making spam mails?

Here is a lot of people making spam emails.  What do they get out of it?  Though some are fraud, some are really authentic products right?

Sometimes there are authentic products, not all spam mails are actually spam. Sometimes a company's email gets flagged as spam if they do mass emailing and this causes problems unfortunately because it's difficult to get removed from automatic spam filters.

But yes, people do make money with spam messages, typically via methods such as fraud, and getting people to buy things or spend money on fake merchandise, etc. They also phish your information and can steal your identity.
