As far as I have been able to learn there is no minimum height that you can place your satellite dish. As long as it is positioned to hit whatever satellite you are looking for and you have a clear line of sight with no obstacles it should be fine. Hope this helps

For Caterham, the elevation to 28east is approx 25 degrees. If you ground mount you should be able to clear a 6ft high fence 13/14 feet away. Trouble with ground mounts is that they can be tripped over causing painfull accidents and loss of signal due to dish being knocked off of position. In addition cats/dogs like to "spray" them, also children like to swing/sit on the lnb arm
