Chrome OS devices can now be locked when stolen or lost .Those who use a school or work-issued Chromebook, they only have to ask for their IT admin to lock the device remotely from the web-based control system. So that, person who switch the device on will see a lock screen only with the company's or school's address and phone number, in an aim to guilt them to find the right owner.
