Is the GPS turned off when you enable Airplane mode on iPhones? If not, is there any other way to turn off the GPS unit in your iPhone? I know you can turn off location services but I wonder if there's any way to actually turn the GPS off entirely. I'm just curious for curiousities sake and I wasn't aware if it was possible to do on iPhones.
