well, in my opinion doubletwist is the best(free) android app for music listening, because it has a lot of options and is quite cheap in cpu used.

about file managment es file explorer is certantly the best app, but it requires a rotted phone.

Generally, spotify music is top on the list of good  android app for music listening and file management with good English support. it enable you to listen to any song you wish and also create your own playlist.
