I was skeptical to try the actual phone and data service on TextNow, but my other company raised my rate so I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did.

Pros:
What do you like about the service? This will help other users considering this service or plan to purchase.
The service I chose is $27.99 USD for a monthly unlimited talk/text and 3G of data. Family plans are available, but I'm not utilizing them. As a promo, you get $20 to $25 dollars off a new phone when you sign up or you can bring your own phone. The service ONLY uses the data and a cellular network when you aren't on WIFI and uses WIFI for calling when you aren't. This is great for me because I'm in a rural area and signal is sketchy everywhere. Bonus, you can do things like watch videos or play suggested app games to earn money toward your bill every month and it automatically credits your account. 
Cons:

So far, I have nothing negative to say about TextNow. I've used it for WIFI  calling for a long time, but now that I've activated the actual service, I'm completely impressed. It works off larger network towers and I've had ZERO issues. The only con I'd say is that sometimes the assigned phone number doesn't work with "activation code" texts. I've only had this happen a couple of times.
