I have recently bought a new phone that requires micro Sim. I went to Airtel Service Center to purchase a new micro Sim for my existing number but they have not been of much help.
Firstly, they told me that they would require a photograph along with the copy of identity-proof. This was not the case when one of my family members recently got a new Sim from Vodafone.
Next time they told me that the micro Sims are out-of-stock. I get time to visit their store only on weekends and this has been pending for a while. I think they should make the process user-friendly instead of such a hassle.

Also here in Morocco when you purchase a new Micro SIM it is required a copy of identity card or a passport, but not a photograph, for security purposes.
And even the old subscribers or the people who couldn’t register their mobile or internet subscriber for some reason, are obliged to identify it as soon as possible.

I really wish all providers would tie the devices to forms of proper ID such as passport and drivers license .. one number for life.. ideal.

I have had even worse customer experience. My balance was deducted without me knowing about it. And this continued for like 2 weeks when i suddenly realized my balance has reached just ZERO.
YESSS JUST ZERO!!!
Called them thrice only to know that it was my fault. I dialed some imaginary number that had activated those services.

They who works at customer service works for Airtel ’cause Airtel pays them not we are paying who using their services. This is the main things why we have poor customer service experience. They like to hold us on the line & say- ‘sorry for that’ & ‘thanks a lot for staying with us’ repeatedly & unnecessarily. Nothing more nothing less.
