There are two service providers in Jamaica, Digicel and Lime. The two service providers offer good services in similar areas, but one has it’s flaws. Even though one has more customers than the other it doesn’t mean that they are the better network. My experiences with these  two networks have been good in different areas, as they are competitors, but one more than the other. Lime who was formerly been known as Cable and Wireless was Jamaica’s first and only network at the time, but they were out of control and was overcharging the people.

When Digicel came to Jamaica it was a joyful time, there rates were good and many people switch from Cable and Wireless. Digicel offered good service over the past 9 years, but since 2012  they have been using their power and Stability to their advantage, they have become the number 1 service provider in the country, Having the majority of the customers, they use this as a way to raise their service rates and do a lot misdeeds.

Digicel’s rates have sky rocketed, while Lime’s rates have dropped, so the table has been turned and the people prefer Lime to Digicel, but uses Digicel’s services more than Lime because more people have digiclel numbers. So we are getting poor services from one but choose to stay with them because it’s convenient to us, while the other is pouring out cheap rates begging us to switch to their network.

So that’s how it is with Businesses competing for customers and once they have the upper hand they will take advantage.

So you have this kind of experience in your country?
