I have stayed in Delhi for a about a month and i have been using Idea since then as my cell phone service provider. But I believe that was the worst choice. Network coverage is so poor that in certain areas of New Delhi it attenuates to zero. When we talk about the signal strength it varies from location to location. While travelling if you attend a call, the voice quality is bad and there is a lot of noise in signal transmission. Next coming to GPRS, the internet speed is also poor. I made the choice because of the plan the lured me at that time, however I am not making this mistake again.

I used IDEA for a week then i was forced to shift to other provider due its poor services and customer service too. Signal strength is location dependent and if you visit some mall or under ground floor for sure signal will be lost. IDEA should really improve on this.

I agree IDEA is a terrible service provider, I tried switching from BSNL to IDEA a while back because their advertisements seemed good, but i had really bad experience using IDEA. I live in Kerala and their coverage in my area is hopeless I couldn’t get signal half the time. The Only plus for Idea is that they have some pretty cheap Internet offers and messaging offers. After about 2 months of using IDEA i switched back to BSNL.
