How call routing is done between different telco operators in same country?
how do telco get notified if a new number is allocated to other telco’s?

e.g., if a customer applies for a 1800 number to be managed by Vodafone, how is the allocation of that number
to Vodafone is communicated to other telcos so that they can route calls to that 1800 number to Vodafone?
