The sound quality is consistently excellent. The optional voice mailbox works rather well, saving messages and allowing a response through the voice mail system. As long as you don’t move the cable modem from the room in which it is installed (that is, the cable is plugged into the wall as installed), the 911 emergency function is the next best thing to a land line. I am satisfied. Bundling with TV and/or internet saves even more money over the Telecom Giants.
