Where do you live, and do you appreciate its beauty?

My sister, her husband and son leave for Belize in another week…and they’ve promised to take several photos. The husband has a new camera, but my sister will be documenting everything with her smart phone. It will be interesting to compare the quality of the photos upon their return.

My question is, when you travel around your home town, do you take photos of buildings, statues, etc., or do you only do that when you are a “tourist” – traveling in some other “big city” or foreign country.

In holidays, I take pics of everything that seems interesting to me, not precisely a major touristic point, I might be mesmerized by a small fountain, but which has something catchy for my eyes

Before smartphones has satisfactory cameras as 8MP, I used a professional camera, a Sony Cybershot model. Now, I use it from time to time, especially when my luggage is light, the smartphone does the trick

My sister and her family leave for Belize in three days time!  (I’m counting down the time because I’ve asked her to send me postcards! I’m a stamp collector.)

Smartphones are great to take photos of family gatherings. They’re unobtrusive and you’ve always got one with you.  I took photos of both Christmas day and New Years day and shared them with my family members.
