Has anyone here ever bought and configured a signal booster for their residence or office? I don’t get 3G nor 4G reception at my residence, I guess I’m just in a dead area. I just noticed however that they sell signal boosters that you can setup to help boost the signal for your cellular devices, like this for example. The price is really steep on this kind of thing though, so I’m not sure if the benefit is going to be that great to warrant such an expense.

I`m using a similar booster designed by TP-LINK, model WA730RE, it`s efficientLaugh

Even in 4G mode, the internet speed is up to 150mbps and you can add up to 20 gadgets to the same network

Similarly to any TP-Link product, you will have to enter the admin account and add each new gadget, which might annoy you, but it`s a wise security measure

If you are getting no signals at all then yes I do suggest a booster! They actually extend the range quite a lot which is nice. You’ll never have to worry about a bad connection again! There are many different ones to choose from but in my opinion they all work the same way. Don’t worry about spending a fortune. Usually cheaper ones are alright.

Despite brand, which sometimes makes the difference (an Asus booster will always be something more than one designed by Netgear), you will have to choose among the ones based on 5GHz as radio frequency, rather than models created for 2.4GHz

If it includes Ethernet or USB ports, it`s better, since you can connect printers or external hard disks to it

There is no application or device to boost 3G/4G speed. We can boost wifi or internet speed only :) You should ask your 3G provider to check again your connection.
