Longer battery life, and quicker charging for the battery.  I have two phones, a “burner” which can go days and days without charging, and a smartphone that can barely go a day on a full charge.

As far as I tested, Samsung and Sony gadgets include reliable batteries, you can go to a trip for 4-5 days and never thinking about the charger. Personally, I found Sony models as charging faster

I like my Note 3 but it is a battery hog. I have to take my charger with me to work or it will be out of juice by the time I leave for the day.

Maybe you use too much Wifi, video contents or anything that drains dramatically your battery. Usually for Note series, the battery should last for at least 3 days in decent performance

Sometimes the apps let open in the background consume an essentilal part of the battery. I normally close every app, since I don`t use it, in order to create more savings

Smart Phones usually drains out rapidly. We need to carry the charger. For the battery to last long we should always close the applications that are running behind. Also applications that use the navigation and location should be closed as they use lot of battery.

As a matter of fact, indeed smarphones need to be charged often than classical phones, with few exceptions

Theoretically, you should close anything useless, but sometimes you simply forget and you figure out your battery is almost over
