I personally still have a land line for DSL purposes, as the cost for dry loop is the same as having a local phone. However, I know a few friends that have completely cut the cord and only have wireless cell services.

From what I’ve heard the ratio of cord cutters has been going up a bit every year. Do you only have a cell phone? Do you expect to remove land line service soon? Why, why not?

I still like having a land line due to the fact that it tends to persist longer in emergency situations versus cell service.

My sister’s family has “cut the cord” – all they use are cell phones.

And so have I.  I have two phones, one for personal use and one for work-related things.

I think as most teens grow to adulthood – the ones who have been used to using cellphones all their lives – that’s all they’ll use.

In the same way, desktop-bound PCs are going the way of the dinosaur, and everyone seems to be using tablets these days.  Which I actually think is a big mistake, as these tablet folks will neve know what they could be doing with a real computer!

Actually I still can’t get out of landline. The connection speed here still too slow to use wireless service widely.

Hope I can replace it in one day not far from here.

Probably tablet folks will realize it, when their eyes are more tired than usual and they have to wear glasses

I`m one  adept of the dinosaurs, due to the fact I also work at home and I need a big display to concentrate on every detail of my projects

On the other hand, I don`t deny the comfortable use of smartphones and tablets, I only consider we have to use both in a balanced wayWink
