The M8 is the current codename for HTC’s next flagship which is expected to land real soon and the rumours are coming in thick and fast, what we do know right now is that the device is codenamed the M0 which is logical given the HTC One was codenamed the M7. One suggestion was the device may be called the HTC One+ or OnePlus.. HTC are hardly known for being the greatest names of devices – think chacha, butterfly and One Max.
However it’s recently come to light that Peter Lau a former executive at Oppo holds the trademark on this particular name and it’s thought he may make use of it on the first Cyanogenmod phone. HTC will have to rethink naming plans or come to some form of license agreement deal for usage of the trademark in the US however thats unlikely and it may be that the next HTC flagship has the horrid name of the HTC Two or worse yet HTC One Two eeekk
So question of the day, your in charge of this next make or break device, what do you call it ?

The M8 is back in the news and a few items have been confirmed with many still pending, the first item that has been confirmed is that AT&T in the US will be carrying this device whatever it’s final name is although it’s uncertain if this will be an exclusive offering at this time – many fans of the previous HTC hope not as it played a huge part in holding the device back.
Aside from that in terms of features it’s all but confirmed that the M8 will be coming with dual rear facing cameras which is interesting – although will depend on how HTC’s crappy marketing and software engineers make use of it – aside from that the HTC M8 is expected to grow in size to around 5 inches allowing for the release of a smaller/larger device (mini, grand logic) in the future.
