There are three ways of changing your Twitter language. The first option is changing the language on headlines, buttons, and other controls. Secondly, you can switch a tweet’s language by translating it into a familiar language. The last option involves changing the tweet’s content language.
You can only change Twitter’s display language on the Twitter website. Your Twitter will automatically switch between multiple languages based on the country you’re in. For instance, English is most likely the default language if you reside in the UK, Canada, or the US. But you can change it to any language you desire.
Follow these steps to change the display language.
- Click on the more icon and select Settings and privacy from the drop-down menu.
- Click on the Accessibility, display, and languages tab.
- Click Languages.
- Under Display language, click and choose your preferred language for headlines, buttons, and other text from X. You may be prompted to enter your password. Click Save.
Changing your display language settings does not change the language of the content you see on your Home timeline.

Setting the language only affects the language of Twitter elements such as action text and timestamp display; Tweet text is always displayed in its originally authored language.
