Yes indeed!

because gps signals would operate on radio frequencies which in turn could also be related to the normal functioning of the phone. It's been a part of experiment projects in many high schools also where a cell completely wrapped in an aluminium foil had not been recieving any calls, same had also been the case with gps signals.

Because aluminium has been a natural conductor of electrical signals, thus the radio wave which would move at the speed of light would also be blocked by it through it an thus bingo, magic!!
