How to change format of text in WhatsApp messages?

For bold add asterisks to either side of a word or sentence, e.g. *victoria*

and you will see your sent message in this style

Italicise a message with underscores, e.g. _victoria_

and you will see your  sent message in this format

To strikethrough text add tildes, e.g. ~victoria~

and you will see your sent message in this format
