Discoonecting wifi from your dish hopper and keeping it dosconnected so that it doesnt reconnect automatically is very easy.
First open your "Network List"
Click on connected network and select "Dosconnect"
Your wifi hopper will release an IP Adress and it will instruct networking device to disconnect it permanently...
