How to change my photo and status on whatsapp?

I find no option to change my status and pic on WhatsApp. I am using Samsung galaxy s3?

Photo

Go to WhatsApp > Menu Button > Settings.
Select Profile.
Tap your Profile photo to take a new profile picture or upload a photo from your media gallery.
    
Status

Go to WhatsApp > Menu Button > Status.
You can choose a default status or create a personalized one.
To create a personal status, press the button and tap OK after you are finished.
