• Multi-Stop Rides: Have chores to run or friends to drop during the ride? Uber allows the riders to have 2 stops during their rides so you don’t have to request multiple rides during one trip.
• Help a Friend or Family: Uber lets you request a ride for someone else, a friend, family member, or a child. The option lets you send the details of the ride to the number in tour contacts and they can ride it.
• Calendar Events: Use the calendar shortcut in your app so any address added in the calendar app will be provided as shortcuts in the Uber app so you don’t have to add the address again.
• Scheduled Rides: need to pick up a friend from the airport? Schedule a ride from up to 30 days to now.
• Snitch Anonymously: If you see your Driver doing something against the laws, snitch on him anonymously by the option available in the safety features.
• Safety: Uber lets you send your live location to someone from your contact list for safety and emergencies. The shortcut to dial 911 or the police helpline is also provided in the safety shortcuts. To provide mental satisfaction, the rider sees the name, the license plate of the car and his picture before the ride reaches.
• Deliveries: for your service, Uber offers food deliveries to your doorstep from ride options like UberEats.
Pros • Uber is convenient form of public transport; you don’t to stand in a queue for your turn, no hailing cab on the road, no standing all the way to your destination, or waiting to get a seat. Uber provides relaxed ride to your destination without any hassle.
• On Uber, rider can go cashless with multiple paying services available for payment.
• Uber is much safer than other transportation services with facilities like live location, safety contact, anonymous snitching and emergency 911 shortcuts.
• Rating facility decreases the chances of having a bad driver or a driver that has a bad attitude. The company is also very strict about any kind of harassment during the ride by either the rider or driver.
Cons • Even with all the right things, the drivers find ways to earn extra from the riders, by either taking a longer route or deliberately taking roads with extra traffic. At some instances drivers have also switched on the ride before the rider has reached the ride.
• In emergency situations, the prices are immediately raised due the automated surge from the AI systems. The company works hard on that but the situation is not exactly in control,
• The fixed booking cost and the minimum fare puts a lot of money that a person has to pay for renting an Uber. Riders taking short rides have to pay a lot more than the ride’s fare should have been.
